About Faith

"Beauty is everywhere; we just have to look."

I started taking photographs and documenting moments of life in my early teenage years. It was film then, a Canon AE1 was my tool. I quickly learned that moments are fleeting and yet, with the click of a shutter, that moment can be captured and brought to mind and to life again and again. That was the time of rolls of 24; days I cannot even imagine now.

Photography has always been a way for me to capture a moment of beauty. I have been so  many amazing places in my life and photography has given me away to share it. Personally, it brings me into the scene, into the moment. It makes me feel even more connected to it. That image then has the power to bring me back to that moment and feeling days and years later; and it is a tool to bring you there, too.

Nature is my canvas - photograhy my tool.  I also enjoy components within nature - barns, boats, doors and windows.  I seem to have a fascination with things that are old and partially dilapidated.. If I see beauty or I see a story, I’ll shoot it.

I think of myself as a nature photographer with a ‘street photographer’ style - telling a story with an image, capturing the feeling of a moment.

"You don’t take a photograph, you make it." - Ansel Adams
